Had dinner with my dad at “Valley Thai” (19a/187 Wilson Road  Hinchinbrook NSW 2168). I was craving laksa since yesterday. Think this is the closest Thai place to me? Maybe?

Ordered laksa and penang curry with beef. My dad doesn’t eat much so it was mostly me eating. I feel so good right now. Was so cranky earlier. Must have been the hunger. XD

I visited my friend’s stall at Chinatown markets today. These photos are not of her stall but of the one next to it. Look how cute those glasses and collars are! I want them! Maybe I shall buy next Friday. :D

Park Bench on George Street. It replaced Passionflower. We had time to kill before The Hunger Games so we were wandering around for ice-cream. Went all the way to Westfield Sydney food court to see it still open but most of the food places shut. This was around 8pm-ish. Thought it would be open longer? So we tried Park Bench and their tasting platter which is $13 for 5 bowls of ice cream. Which is good value for money since 1 scoop is maybe 5 dollars (my memory’s fuzzy about that). So, we had Rocher, Tim Tam , Strawberry latte, Passionfruit latte and lime sorbet. I liked the non-chocolate flavours more.

Design wise it feels Melbourne-ish. We sat on little stools, around little tables quite close to the ground. There was a lot of leaning over the table. But I liked the vibe of the place and would definitely go again. There are still so many flavours to try!

Things I bought that don’t necessarily deserve a blog post. XD

  • One Line A Day - A Five-Year Memory Book: bought online from The Book Depository (for $11.85 AUD). Arrived today after being purchased on 21st February. Was on someone else’s blog and saw it on there. I’ve seen them before in dramas and just generally around and I thought it’d be good to have one and keep one. This will supposedly last me until I’m 30. 30. So, yeah. XD
  • Pink and Gray - Kato Shigeaki: bought from Kinokuniya Sydney because it had a 20% off marked price sticker on it. It scanned as its marked price $29.40. Had to remind the person at the register about the sticker. So, just make sure you get your 20% off because it seems not to come up automatically. So it cost $23.52. Paid cash, rounded down to $23.50 and saved myself 2 cents. And seriously, this rounding up and down business? We should keep the 1 and 2 cent pieces for times like this XD. I shall be reading this with lots of dictionaries around.

Also, I should have turned on more lights. These photos were so dark!

Got my hair cut. I now have a fringe. Hairdresser said my hair was too straight to have an effective side fringe. She suggested a perm fringe. Whatever that is.
Got it cut at Kim Sun Young on Pitt St for $38.

Dropped by the COFA Annual 2011 at the Roundhouse at UNSW today. I was headed in to return some library books. There’s some pretty good stuff and other stuff you think shouldn’t be exhibited. Good, fun, free culture.

Also, the Roundhouse needs a renovation.

Between 3 and 5:30pm you can get a burger, normal chips and a drink for 20 bucks from Charlie and Co Burger at Westfield Sydney food court. I got Wagyu and Co burger. It was okay. Not as amazing as I thought it would be. Reminded me of a Maccas burger, to be honest. Also, didn’t know what to do with the tray after. Leave it on table or put it away. We left it on the table. XD
ETA: Pretty sure it was 3 and 5:30pm. But check before you order and I’m sure the person at the counter will try to upsell to you anyway if that combo is available.

Lunch at Criniti’s Darling Harbour.
Ravioli Gorgonzola - $28.90
Should have ordered something with meat. It was good but very cheesy. Only reason I know of gorgonzola is because Matsumoto Jun of Arashi doesn’t like it. He said so on a Japanese variety show. XD
Coco Zaza - $19.50
Really liked it. Needed less ice in it and more of the actual drink for the price, me thinks.
Wasn’t expecting post-exam lunch to be around 50 bucks. Was hoping for, uh, cheaper food. XD
